Dear Sirs and Madams, Emmeline is unmarried and taking a sabbatical from her professional ballet career to focus on winning a gold medal in gymnastics at the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo. First Groomsman 

A special thanks to Michael McGregor Junior, our first groomsman. As his older brother Derek refers to him, Michael, or Junior, is seventeen years old. He’s a single man who stands at six feet four and weighs 250 pounds. Rap music and wrestling are two of his favorite things to do. Nobody should allow him near a microphone tonight, you understand. Let’s give Junior a standing ovation. (Lots of applause)

The Bride and Groom make their grand entrance.

‘And now, Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s time for the big moment: our bride and groom Winona and Derek! Isn’t she stunning in this picture? The day has arrived, and she’s been practicing her bouquet-throwing skills in the hopes of giving a decent performance when the time arrives. Take a peek at the groom, for example. He looks very good for a man that gets into football fights. Ladies and gentlemen, please extend a warm welcome to Winona and Derek!’ (Lots of applause)

Speech by the Father of the Bride, followed by a Prayer of Grace

As we hear a few words and a prayer of appreciation from our host, the Father of the Bride – Brian Walker – we ask that you kindly take your seats.’

Throwing a Bouquet

So now it’s time to have a little fun since it’s time for the customary Bouquet Throwing Ceremony to take place. For those of you who have seen the running of the bulls in Pamplona, this is a bit like that experience. There is always a small element of danger for the ladies who are desperate to get their hands on the bouquet. It’s also the true reason why you’re seeing so many high-heeled shoes on the streets tonight. As you know, the young woman who successfully catches the bouquet in mid-flight is almost assured of making her trip down the aisle on her own two feet.

I want to invite all of the single girls to come up and participate in the bouquet toss. Don’t be greedy, married females who have snuck onto the boat. Single ladies are the only ones who may attend. Let us give you a little breathing space since our gorgeous and charming bride Winona has been rehearsing this throw for the whole summer.

Take your spot behind the bride and ready to leap to great heights,’ the groom says. Fortune is on the side of the courageous! The bride will toss her bouquet when the count of three is reached. Ladies and gentlemen, let us all join hands and count to ten.
